Lakes In the Mediterranean Region

The lakes are clustered in the western part of the region. The only lake in the east is Amik Lake residing in the middle of the Hatay Plain. The number of lakes in the west is so high that the area is called the Lake District. Four of them are Burdur Lake, Acigol, Egridir Lake and Beysehir Lake.
