Central Anatolia region is known for its natural beauty. It is one of the first places where the Turks settled after they emigrated from Central Asia. The capital Ankara is the most developed city of Central Anatolia. Eskişehir, Kayseri, Konya and Sivas, which are located in the region, are among the developed cities in terms of industry. The total number of cities in Central Anatolia, including Aksaray, Ankara, Çankırı, Eskişehir, Karaman, Kayseri, Kırıkkale, Kırşehir, Konya, Nevşehir, Niğde, Sivas and Yozgat is 13.

Erciyes Ski Center, Kartalkaya Ski Center, Ilgaz Ski Center and Elmadag Ski Center are important ski centers of Central Anatolia. The Central Anatolia Region, which receives lots of snowfall during the winter season, is considered as one of the important points of winter tourism due to this feature. Especially Erciyes Ski Resort is one of the best ski resorts in Turkey.

Anıtkabir, located in the capital city Ankara, is one of the most tourist attractions in the region. The places, where the foundations of the Republic of Turkey are set, attracts many history enthusiastst to Ankara, Erzurum and Sivas.

Mevlana Tomb in Konya, Sivas Divrigi Ulu Mosque and Nevsehir Ihlara Valley are important tourism points of the region.

Central Anatolia, which has been host to many civilizations throughout history, is located in the middle of Anatolia and houses historical artifacts of different cultural values.
